The Everest Base Camp trek is one of the most beautiful and breathtaking treks in the Himalayas.

Everyone talks about “reaching” Base Camp (which honestly, is the least picturesque part of this trek!), but what makes this trek unforgettable is the journey itself.

From your first big sighting of Thamserku, to that tiny glimpse of Mount Everest through the trees, and Ama Dablam — the stunning peak that watches over you almost the entire way — every moment is magical. You may even be lucky enough to spot a rare musk deer in the forests of Tengboche or stand in awe at the panoramic Himalayan views from Kala Patthar.

The trail is filled with unforgettable details: gurgling streams lined with blue forget-me-nots in Pheriche, baby yaks huddling close to their mothers, the huge but gentle Bhutia dogs that trot alongside trekkers, enchanted rhododendron forests in Deboche blooming pink, white, lilac, and yellow, and the endless suspension bridges strung across deep valleys.

With its dramatic scenery, rare wildlife, and cultural richness, the Everest Base Camp trek is truly one of the world’s greatest adventures!

Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at Srinagar airport - do try and fly in before 1 PM. Drive to Gulmarg and head to the Ski Shop to kit up. This is where you'll get your entire ski gear - boots, skis, poles, helmet, ski suit, jacket, ski goggles - the whole enchilada!

Drive Time: 1.5 hrs
Day 2 - 4
All day skiing from 9:30 AM TO 4 PM with a break for lunch. All those who've graduated beyond the bunny slopes get to ski down Kongdori Station on Day 4!
Day 5
Pack up before checkout, but keep your ski boots on — we ski till 4 PM! Later, slip back into your city clothes and head for an exclusive visit to the High Altitude Warfare School’s climbing museum — a rare privilege since it’s usually closed to the public. By evening, we drive to Srinagar for a delicious Kashmiri dinner at Ahdoos before winding down on the charming Royal Houseboat for the night.

Drive Time: 1.5 hrs
Day 6
An early morning visit to the floating flower and vegetable market on the Dal Lake - no pressure, but if you're an avid photographer It's quite magical! Try and book your return tickets for later in the afternoon, so you can have a lazy breakfast, maybe a bit of local shopping if time and energy allow, and then it’s off to the airport. Time to say goodbye… and carry a little piece of Kashmir back with you.
